The mission of NAAAP-MN is to promote the career advancement of Asian American professionals in all fields through networking, leadership development, supporting cultural awareness/diversity, and community service.

Description:
The Minnesota Chapter of The National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP-MN) is a non-profit, membership organization that serves Asian Americans of all descent that seeks to progress our collective career advancement while making significant contributions to our community through volunteer and charity work. Membership to NAAAP-MN is open to people of all ethnicities. NAAAP-MN is based in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area.

History:
NAAAP is a national organization with chapters and ventures in 15 major cities in the U.S., along with chapters in Toronto and Vancouver, Canada. Through its chapters, NAAAP has over 2,000 members, and is the fastest growing Asian-American professional organization in the U.S. and Canada. NAAAP celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2002.

In May 2003, the Minnesota Chapter of NAAAP became fully incorporated and elected its inaugural governing Board and Officers.

Financial support for NAAAP-MN is provided by membership fees and corporate and individual donors.

Governance:
NAAAP-MN’s governing body consists of eight Board Members and five Officers who are working professionals in the fields of law, marketing, finance, technology, publishing and real estate, and who are employed by some of the top companies in Minnesota.
